วันที่ 7 กันยายน 2569 ทางสาขาวิชาปฐพีศาสตร์และสิ่งแวดล้อมได้นำนักศึกษาต่างชาติจากประเทศญี่ปุ่นและอินโดนีเซียเข้าศึกษาดูงานที่พิพิธภัณฑ์ดิน ณ สำนักงานพัฒนาที่ดินเขต 5 จังหวัดขอนแก่น
       นักศึกษาได้รับฟังการบรรยายให้ความรู้จากเจ้าหน้าที่สำนักงานพัฒนาที่ดินเขต 5 เกี่ยวกับชั้นดิน เนื้อดิน ปัญหาของดิน และชุดดินต่าง ๆ ในบริเวณภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ พร้อมทั้งศึกษาดูงานเรื่องหญ้าแฝก ซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อการลดการสูญเสียดินและการอนุรักษ์ดิน
       กิจกรรมศึกษาดูงานครั้งนี้ช่วยให้นักศึกษาได้รับประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้จากสถานที่จริง และมีความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับดินและปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือมากยิ่งขึ้น
       International Students Visit the Soil Museum in Khon Kaen On September 7, 2026, the Department of Soil Science and Environment organized an educational field trip for international students from Japan and Indonesia to the Soil Museum at the Regional Land Development Office 5 in Khon Kaen Province. During the visit, the students attended an informative lecture delivered by officers from the Regional Land Development Office 5. They learned about soil profiles, soil texture, soil-related problems, and different soil series found in Northeastern Thailand. The students also had an opportunity to learn about vetiver grass, an important plant for reducing soil erosion and preventing soil loss, as well as its role in sustainable soil and environmental management. This field trip provided the students with valuable hands-on learning experiences and a deeper understanding of the soils and environmental challenges of Northeastern Thailand.
